Job summary

Merck in South Africa is seeking a warehouse operative to support packaging, stock control and daily production logistics. You will prep, pick and pack the bill of materials for packaging, ensure materials are stocked and audited, and manage barcodes and stock takes with accuracy.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prep and stock bill of materials for packaging (bags and buckets).
• Pick and pack bill of material items.
• Ensure BOM is stocked and inventory counts are accurate.
• Check levels of packaging materials (bags, buckets, barcodes).
• Manage and record barcodes and related data.
• Ensure correct packaging for stock take and blank orders.
• Inspect printed orders and tags for quality and accuracy.
• Pack blank orders when necessary and maintain packing standards.
• Verify incoming stock and organize on shelves using FIFO.
• Document daily duties in Excel and assist with any production-related records.
• Cooperate with pharmacovigilance when product complaints arise and provide information as required.
