Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Merchandising & Visual Display Coordinator for Kimberley, Northern Cape. This hybrid role requires remote planning and regular on-site execution with travel to retail locations.

You will develop and execute displays that enhance product appeal and drive sales, collaborating with sales and marketing to support campaigns. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in visual merchandising, a strong eye for aesthetics, and proficiency in MS Office; design software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Marketing, Design, Business or related field.
• 2-4 years of visual merchandising/retail display experience (FMCG preferred).
• Strong aesthetic sense and attention to color and spatial design.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of design software a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence others.
• Hybrid work model with on-site travel across Kimberley region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement visual merchandising strategies and plans for retail outlets.
• Design and execute eye-catching product displays and in-store presentations aligning with brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing to support campaigns and launches.
• Source and manage display materials and fixtures inventory.
• Train field staff on effective merchandising techniques.
• Conduct store visits to assess displays and ensure brand consistency.
• Stay updated on visual merchandising trends and competitor activity.
• Prepare reports on merchandising effectiveness for management.
• Ensure displays are safe, compliant, and aesthetically pleasing.
