Job summary

Hollywoodbets is seeking a VIP Security Team Leader based in Springfield Park, Kwa-Zulu Natal. The role oversees VIP Security Officers and ensures safety and security across the brand’s Durban footprint.

You will manage security operations, train officers, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed, while maintaining high standards of protection for staff and customers. The position requires PSIRA Grade C and 1–3 years of people management experience.

Qualifications

• PSIRA Grade C is required.
• 1–3 years of people management experience.
• Matric is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Computer literacy with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervise programs and processes to reduce loss time injuries.
• Review staffing levels to maintain full coverage of posts.
• Assist in the supervision of Security Officers on assigned shift.
• Ensure proper execution of assigned duties.
• Provide training to new security officers.
• Attend and report on emergencies to the manager.
• Detain trespassers or law violators on-site until law enforcement arrives.
• Interview, hire and train employees.
• Plan, assign and direct work; conduct performance assessments and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain professional department and company reputation.
• Ensure regular attendance and adherence to rules and policies.
• Provide protection for the company, its employees and customers.
• Coordinate with local Law Enforcement as required.
