Job summary

Tiger Brands in South Africa seeks a delivery driver to support the safe, accurate and efficient delivery and collection of goods by selecting the correct type, quantity and quality of loaves; delivering customer orders on time and in full, in accordance with the invoice.

You will carry bread from truck to the shop, load crates and crates, maintain vehicle cleanliness, report irregularities, and build strong relationships with general trade customers while adhering to Health & Safety rules and

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent is required.
• 1-2 years FMCG experience preferred.
• Strong time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support safe, accurate and efficient delivery and collection of goods (loaves).
• Deliver customer orders on time and in full in accordance with the invoice.
• Carry bread from truck to the shop as per invoice and load/unload crates.
• Merchandise bread at general trade customers based on shelf life.
• Build excellent relations with general trade customers and report irregularities.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations and SOPs for loading/off-loading trucks.
• Provide feedback on activities and attitudes observed at customers to Sales Supervisor.

To support the driver in the safe, accurate and efficient delivery and collection of goods by selecting the correct type, quantity and quality of loaves; delivering customer orders on time and in full, in accordance with the invoice; and collecting and loading empty crates and customer returns onto the truck.

Key Performance Area

• Vehicle Inspection
• Ensure the vehicle cab is kept clean and hygienic
• Report any irregularities and bad driving to Sales Supervisor
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations
• Adhere to SOP’s for loading and off-loading trucks
• Quality Control
• Build excellent relations with general trade customers
• Identify bad quality loaves and report as per SOP
• Carry bread from truck to the shop as per invoice
• Build relationships with customers
• Merchandise bread at general trade customers based on shelf life
• Provide feedback on activities, perceptions and attitudes observed at general trade customers to Sales Supervisor
• Positive basket flow and control
• Pick up baskets per client
• Carry empty crates, stock and returns to truck
• Pack empty crates and bread in truck ensuring no damage

Minimum requirements:

• Matric or equivalent
• 1-2 years FMCG experience
• Time management
• Communication skills
