Job summary

Sourceworx is seeking a UX/UI Web Designer to craft intuitive and visually compelling experiences across web apps, sites and customer platforms. You will merge user research, interaction design and UI creation to meet business goals while aligning with modern web standards.

You will collaborate with developers, analysts and stakeholders, translate requirements into engaging digital experiences, and continuously improve usability and accessibility through testing and iteration.

Qualifications

Job description

The UX/UI Web Designer is responsible for designing intuitive, visually appealing, and user-centred digital experiences across web applications, websites, and customer-facing platforms. The role combines user experience research, interaction design, and user interface design to create solutions that enhance customer satisfaction, support business objectives, and align with modern web standards. The successful candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into engaging and effective digital experiences.

Responsibilities

• User Experience (UX) Design
  • Conduct user research, competitor analysis and usability assessments.
  • Create user personas, user journeys, customer experience maps and wireframes.
  • Identify user pain points and recommend practical opportunities to improve interaction quality.
  • Design intuitive user flows that optimise usability, accessibility and task completion.
  • Gather user feedback and incorporate findings into design improvements.
• User Interface (UI) Design
  • Design responsive web interfaces for desktop, mobile and tablet platforms.
  • Develop high-fidelity mock-ups, prototypes and reusable design components.
  • Create visually compelling layouts aligned to brand standards and digital design principles.
  • Ensure consistency across all digital products and customer touchpoints.
  • Maintain and improve the organisation’s design standards, component libraries and visual assets.
• Collaboration and Product Development
  • Work closely with software developers to ensure design feasibility and accurate implementation.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, project workshops and design reviews.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and customer needs.
  • Provide design guidance throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Usability Testing and Continuous Improvement
  • Plan and support usability testing sessions where required.
  • Analyse user feedback, design performance indicators and product usage patterns.
  • Recommend enhancements based on research, customer feedback and recognised UX/UI best practice.
  • Stay current with emerging UX/UI trends, technologies, accessibility standards and design methodologies.
• Brand and Visual Design Support
  • Produce digital design assets where required for product, web or communication purposes.
  • Ensure designs maintain visual consistency and reflect approved company branding.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on website enhancements and digital campaigns where applicable.

Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, User Experience Design, Human Computer Interaction, Multimedia Design or a related field.

Experience

3 to 5 years' experience in UX/UI design, web design or digital product design, with a portfolio demonstrating UX process and UI design outputs.
