Job summary

BigTalent is seeking a Junior UI/UX Designer to join our design team and contribute to a range of digital products, including mobile apps, customer portals, and online checkout. You will work with Product, Developers and Marketing to craft user-centred, visually engaging experiences.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in UI/UX or related design, strong Figma skills, and a portfolio of web/mobile UI/UX work. A diploma or degree in UI/UX or related field is preferred, along with an eye for usability

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of UI/UX, Product, Digital or related design experience
• Strong proficiency in Figma
• Experience creating wireframes, user flows, mock-ups and interactive prototypes
• Exposure to responsive web and mobile application design
• A good understanding of UX principles, usability and user-centred design
• Exposure to design systems and reusable components would be advantageous
• Experience collaborating with Developers or working in a team-based product environment
• A portfolio showcasing relevant web and/or mobile UI/UX projects
• A Diploma or Degree in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Digital Design, Multimedia Design or a related field

Responsibilities

• Creating user journeys, user flows and wireframes
• Designing responsive web and mobile interfaces
• Producing high-fidelity Figma designs and interactive prototypes
• Translating business requirements into intuitive user experiences
• Working with and maintaining reusable components and design libraries
• Preparing clear, developer-ready Figma files and handoffs
• Collaborating closely with Product, Developers, QA and Marketing
• Reviewing implemented designs to ensure they align with approved designs
• Contributing to improvements in usability, consistency and the overall customer experience

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career designer to work across a range of digital products, including mobile applications, customer and merchant portals, online checkout and other customer-facing platforms.

You’ll work closely with Product, Developers and other stakeholders to create intuitive, user-centred and visually engaging digital experiences.
