Satguru Holidays Worldwide. is seeking an Accountant / Sr. Accountant to join our Africa-based finance team.

This independent contributor role requires an innovative, outgoing and self-starter attitude with a passion for sales and travel services. The position reports to the Regional Finance Controller/Branch Manager and involves posting and processing journal entries, managing AR/AP, payroll, and preparing financial reports while supporting monthly and yearly close procedures.

Qualifications

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices, and update accounts payable with reconciliations.
• Record expenses and payroll and prepare weekly/monthly reports.
• Assist in monthly/yearly closing and maintain the general ledger.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and verify accounting records and financial statements for accuracy.
• Send data for tax filings and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
• Record and process employee expense reports and maintain internal controls.

Reporting to : Regional Finance Controller/Branch Manager

Key performance objectives:

Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.

• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
• Update accounts payable and performs reconciliations.
• Recording and reviewing expenses, payroll, etc. as assigned. Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
• Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closing.
• Preparation, analysis, and verification of accounting records, financial statements, and reports to ensure accuracy and adherence to reporting and procedural standards.
• Maintain the general ledger operations.
• Sending data for tax filings.
• Record and process employee expense reports.
