Job summary

Hotel & Lodge Group in Cape Town seeks an experienced Finance Director to lead financial strategy across multiple properties. You will design and implement budgets, cashflow forecasts and finalise audits, with full responsibility for monthly and annual accounting.

The role requires a CA qualification, 5–10 years of multi-hotel finance oversight, strong Excel, ERP and hospitality PMS knowledge, and the ability to report clearly to owners and lenders.

Qualifications

• Qualified with minimum level 7 + CA qualifications.
• On-the-ground practical operational experience at property level to take over the position seamlessly (with no training required).
• Must be able to design, set parameters, implement and finalise budgets, cashflow, finalise audit, cost and stock control, management accounts, and all transactional entries from daily to weekly to monthly to annual and to 5-year forecast.
• Substantial financial-management experience with full responsibility for month-end close and management accounting.
• Proven leadership of a finance team across multiple entities.
• Strong cash-flow forecasting, consolidation, intercompany, balance-sheet control, budgeting, stock/COS analysis, audit and statutory-compliance experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong working knowledge of accounting/ERP and hospitality PMS.
• Good practical knowledge of relevant legislation and reporting frameworks, including VAT, income tax, Companies Act requirements, BCEA, EE, OHSA, COIDA, IFRS and GAAP.
• Ability to understand hospitality market dynamics and macro-economic trends and explain their operational and financial impact.
• Confidence producing information for senior management, owners, boards and lenders, supported by reconciled records and clear evidence.

Responsibilities
