Job summary

Job description

Required for Hotel & Lodge Group, based in Cape Town

• Essential: Qualified with minimum level 7 + CA qualifications
• Salary package negotiable around R1.2M p/a
• Solid track record
• 5-10 years exp overseeing finance for multi-hotel properties
• Relevant accounting/financial-management degree/diploma
• Substantial financial-management experience with full responsibility for month-end close and management accounting
• Proven leadership of a finance team across multiple entities
• Strong cash-flow forecasting, consolidation, intercompany, balance-sheet control, budgeting, stock/COS analysis, audit and statutory-compliance experience
• Advanced Excel skills and strong working knowledge of accounting/ERP and hospitality PMS
• Good practical knowledge of relevant legislation and reporting frameworks, including VAT, income tax, Companies Act requirements, BCEA, EE, OHSA, COIDA, IFRS and GAAP
• Ability to understand hospitality market dynamics and macro-economic trends and explain their operational and financial impact
• Confidence producing information for senior management, owners, boards and lenders, supported by reconciled records and clear evidence
