Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in production chemistry within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong understanding of upstream production processes and chemical challenges.
• Experience in scale, corrosion, and emulsion control strategies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze crude oil, natural gas, and water samples to identify chemical characteristics and potential production issues.
• Develop, implement, and monitor chemical treatment programs for scale, corrosion, paraffin, and asphaltene inhibition.
• Troubleshoot production problems related to emulsions, hydrate formation, and contamination.
• Evaluate and recommend new chemical technologies and suppliers.
• Conduct laboratory testing and field trials for chemical performance assessment.
• Collaborate with production engineers to optimize chemical injection strategies and dosages.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding chemical usage and disposal.
• Prepare technical reports on chemical treatments, performance, and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate records of chemical inventories, usage, and costs.
• Provide technical guidance to field personnel on chemical handling and application best practices.
