Job summary

Crew Life at Sea Ltd. seeks an onboard Upholsterer to repair and maintain upholstery across cabins, public spaces and lounges, including furniture in need of replacement. The role involves ensuring correct wallpaper use and floor coverings, with coordination for parts through the Storekeeper Facility.

In emergencies, the Upholsterer will support the Deck team and assist the Furniture & Interior Officer under the Facility Manager’s guidance, while upholding HESS and company health protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in upholstery maintenance
• Familiarity with wallpapers and flooring
• Attention to safety and cleanliness

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain upholstery in cabins, public spaces and lounges
• Install and repair wallpapers and floor coverings as required
• Lay carpet or linoleum in designated areas
• Report missing spare parts and coordinate with Storekeeper for deliveries
• Share best practices for upholstery maintenance with team
• Assist Deck team in emergencies as needed
• Support Furniture & Interior Officer team under guidance of Facility Manager

Job description

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Duties include (but are not limited to):

1. The Upholstereris in charge with repairing and maintenance upholstery works in the cabins, all public spaces and lounges including big upholstery covering scheduled like sofas, chairs, stools covering for entire area in case needed
2. Correct use of wallpapers
3. Carpet/Linoleum Lay
4. Report of missing spare parts and verifying correct delivery monitoring together his Superior and soliciting the material needed to Storekeeper Facility
5. Knowledge transfer how best to proceed with maintenance in the field of upholstery
6. In emergency cases the Upholsterer is obliged to support the Deck team
7. In case of needs the Upholsterer is obliged to support all Furniture & Interior Officer Team under Facility Manager and Furniture Interiors Officer instructions

Supports an effective and sustainable health and safety culture and environment on board, follows strictly HESS regulations and any Health and Safety Protocols in force to prevent the spread of diseases on board and reports to the Head of Department any observed violations of the Company's health procedures.
