Job summary

Crew Life at Sea Ltd. seeks personnel to assist plumbers and maintain onboard machinery. You will daily assess black water and catering equipment parameters, implementing changes per team lead instructions.

You should be able to disassemble and repair using manuals and be familiar with Hi-Fog, fire systems, sprinklers, and extinguishers. The role emphasizes adherence to health and safety protocols onboard and active participation in a safe operating culture.

Qualifications

• Assists daily with plumbers tasks and supports mechanical duties.
• Daily evaluation of black water machinery parameters following Team Leader instructions.
• Daily evaluation of catering machinery parameters and apply changes as requested.
• Ability to disassemble, replace and repair equipment per machine manuals.

• Assist plumbers during daily works.

• Daily checks of catering machineries (dishwashers, potwashers, coffee machines, washing machines) and implement changes as instructed.
• Demonstrate competence to disassemble, replace, and repair using machine manuals.
• Familiarize with main safety plant (Hi-Fog System), fire system, sprinkler, and fire extinguishers.
• Support health and safety culture aboard, follow HESS regulations, report observed violations.

Job description

Duties include (but are not limited to):

1. Assisting plumbers during his daily works
2. Checking and evaluating competently daily the parameters of black water machineries as per Team Leader instruction and correctly implementing changes when requested
3. Checking and evaluating competently daily the parameters of catering machineries (dishwashers, potwashers, coffee machines, washing machines, etc.) as per Team Leader instruction and correctly implementing changes when requested
4. Demonstrating good competence/knowledge and mechanical ability to disassemble, replace and repair as necessary according to machine manual instructions
5. Familiarizing with all main safety plant (like Hi-Fog System), fire system, sprinkler, all type of fire extinguishers
6. Supports an effective and sustainable health and safety culture and environment on board, follows strictly HESS regulations and any Health and Safety Protocols in force to prevent the spread of diseases on board and reports to the Head of Department any observed violations of the Company's health procedures.
