Job summary

FirstRand Bank Limited in South Africa seeks a Universal Advisor to deliver compliant sales and service solutions in a high-volume branch environment. You will help customers choose banking channels, migrate to digital self-service, and maintain accurate records in line with FAIS, FICA and TCF policies.

You will engage with walk-in and existing customers, identify needs, cross-sell products, and contribute to team success while upholding governance and ethical standards in a dynamic POP setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: Grade 12 / NQF Level 4.
• Preferred: NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service, or related fields recognized by FAIS.
• 1–3 years of experience in customer-facing environments, service delivery, or client support within financial services.
• Strong understanding of FAIS, TCF principles, and regulatory compliance.
• Must not be an unrehabilitated insolvent.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers in a positive and professional manner.
• Understand customer needs to identify, sell, and cross-sell products.
• Educate customers on correct banking platforms and migrate to digital channels.
• Fulfil transactions meeting benchmarks while delivering exceptional service.
• Manage leads, referrals, and customer follow-ups within agreed turnaround times.
• Maintain accurate customer records and ensure compliance with FAIS, FICA, TCF, and internal governance.
