Business Capital Group in Cape Town seeks a senior Radiotherapist to lead treatment planning and ensure best practice across radiotherapy services. You will advance technology, techniques, and workflows within the RT department while guiding senior management and supporting department objectives.

You will supervise and mentor therapy staff, manage equipment and QA, and participate in committees to drive strategic goals and ensure high-quality patient care in Radiation Oncology.

Qualificações

• BTech / BSc Radiotherapy preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of full-time experience, of which 5 years in a senior/lead position in radiotherapy.
• Registration with HPCSA.
• Computer literacy is essential.

Responsabilidades

• Organize and monitor the treatment section to meet patient needs.
• Supervise and train all therapy personnel.
• Supervise equipment management and QA plan.
• Attend and participate in department meetings.
• Assist department in meeting strategic goals and objectives.
• Manage technical staff and oversee clinical operations of Radiation Oncology areas.
• Staff management including staffing levels, hiring/terminations, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure accurate radiation services to patients.

Responsibilities

• Senior responsibilities in treatment and planning.
• Ensure international best practice in all radiotherapy services.
• Promote radiotherapy services and provide guidance and support to the National Oncology Manager and Hospital Manager.
• Develop the level of technology, techniques, and workflow procedures used in the RT department.
• Active participation in determination and implementation of management objectives.
• Plays an integral part in organizing and monitoring the treatment section to meet the needs of patients receiving Radiation Therapy services.
• Supervises and trains all therapy personnel.
• Supervises equipment management and administration of the quality assurance plan.
• Attends and participates in department committees and meetings.
• Assists the department in meeting strategic goals and objectives.
• Manages the technical staff (Radiation Therapists and Lead Radiation Therapist) and oversees the clinical operations of the Radiation Oncology patient treatment areas.
• The management of the radiation therapist staff includes maintaining proper staffing levels, hiring and terminating staff as appropriate, performing performance evaluations, and initiating any disciplinary action as needed.
• Manages accurate radiation services to patients.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• BTech / BSc Radiotherapy is preferable.
• At least 10 years of full-time experience, of which 5 years in a senior/lead position in a radiotherapy department.
• Registration with HPCSA.
• Computer literacy is essential.
• A candidate who is a team player, results-oriented, hard-working with good communication skills, and customer-oriented will be most suitable for this position.
