Job summary

Gauteng Department of Health invites applications for a radiology post in Pretoria, supporting Steve Biko Academic Hospital and the University of Pretoria. The appointee will provide inpatient, outpatient and emergency imaging, and contribute to teaching, training and research.

Requirements: Grade 12, MBChB or equivalent, and HPCSA Independent Practitioner registration. Closing date: 29 October 2026. SAQA evaluation for foreign qualifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Senior/National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent.
• MBChB or an equivalent degree is required.
• Valid registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as Independent Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Deliver radiology services to inpatients, outpatients, day patients and emergencies.
• Teach and train staff and students in radiology.
• Conduct research and perform duties as required by the department and affiliated hospitals/university.
