Job summary

Glencore International AG in Limpopo seeks a Mining Team Leader to oversee underground mining teams and ensure safe blasting, adherence to standards, and quality performance. You will lead crews, coordinate daily plans, and enforce policies on site.

The role requires Grade 12, a Competent B certificate, and experience in Board and Pillar and trackless mining, with proven team leadership and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in mining leadership and safety practices.

• Ability to translate plans into actionable field tasks.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the functions performed by the mining teams to ensure quality performance according to standards
• Assisting the Miner with safe blasting of underground excavations, and with enforcement of mine standards and procedures, thus ensuring that the workplaces are safe
• Leading the team and manage their performance with the assistance of the Miner
• Communicate daily mining plans and allocate responsibilities to the crew
• Ensuring compliance to the company’s policies and procedures
