Job summary

Glencore is seeking a competent LHD operator for underground mining operations in Limpopo, South Africa. The role requires maintenance awareness, adherence to trackless mobile machinery rules, and timely task execution to support production targets.

You must be medically fit for underground work and hold relevant certifications. Ideal candidates have LHD experience, VTS certification, and a Grade 10 education, with a focus on safety and compliance in a mining environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 is required.
• Competent B Certificate is required.
• VTS testing (Suitable grading - Dover) is required.
• Certified competent as an Operator (LHD) in a mining environment is required.
• Previous LHD experience is required.
• Medically Fit for underground is required.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to sustainable development standards.
• Ensure the machine assigned to you is maintained and kept in good working condition and report any defects and damages to the TMM workshop.
• Adhere to trackless mobile machinery procedure.
• Ensure task is done within a specified time to enhance set production target.
