Job summary

Ivanplats is seeking an MTS Manager to lead the Technical Services Department for an underground mining project near Mokopane, Limpopo. The role emphasizes design, planning, rock engineering, ventilation, and cost control to optimize production and resource management.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or equivalent, at least 15 years post-qualification experience, and proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver timely support to the mining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, mineral resource management or equivalent.
• Minimum of 15 years’ post qualification work experience.
• Experience in mechanized underground mining including design, planning, rock engineering, ventilation, project and cost management, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mine plans and costs to optimize revenue and production efficiency.
• Ensure mineral resources remain available and production is not halted.
• Develop and implement Technical Services standards and cost models for underground mining.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team and provide timely support to mining operations.
• Coordinate with 3rd party contractor staff within accountability area.
