Job summary

Valterra Platinum Limited in Thabazimbi, Limpopo, seeks an experienced Mine Overseer to ensure safe, compliant execution of mining, development, construction and project activities. You will coordinate schedules, manage frontline crews, and align operations with the MHSA and company priorities.

The role requires a Mine Overseer Certificate for Scheduled Mines, blasting and First Aid certificates, a valid driver’s license, and strong leadership with risk management and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of frontline operational personnel.
• Strong knowledge of MHSA and statutory responsibilities.
• Experience coordinating production, development and project execution.
• Ability to deliver targets for safety, production, quality and cost.

Responsibilities

• Plan and safely execute mining, development, construction and project activities.
• Execute schedules in line with On-Mine Plan and business priorities.
• Deliver ore to passes per production plans and requirements.
• Ensure activities comply with operating standards, procedures and legal requirements.
• Lead and manage frontline personnel with performance management.
• Monitor real-time performance and allocate resources to meet targets.
