Job summary

Cementation Africa seeks an Artisan Electrician to be placed in Tharisa Mine. The successful candidate reports to the General Engineering Foreman and will work on electrical installations and maintenance underground and on the surface.

Requirements include 5 years mining experience, electrical trade experience, and trackless mobile machinery exposure. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 or NQF4 equivalent required.
• Certificate through a registered body must be held.
• Apprenticeship contract signed off by employer and DoL.

Responsibilities

• Effectively supervise the team’s daily tasks.
• Plan and allocate tasks inline with regulations and standards.
• Safely assemble and erect raised drilling and auxiliary equipment.
• Inspect and maintain lifting equipment per OEM and company standards.
• Support cost containment and time-to-fix improvements.
• Demonstrate disciplined, motivated and positive teamwork.
• Lead alignment with Cementation Africa's values and leadership initiatives.
• Repair equipment to agreed standards and schedules.
• Install and maintain electrical equipment per standards and specs.
• Comply with SHEQ, standards, policies and safety protocols.

Skills

Good communication skills in English

Education

Grade12 or NQF4 equivalent

Certificate through a registered body

Contract of Apprenticeships signed off by employer and Department of Manpower

Tools

Valid Code EB driver's licence

Valid FirstAid certificate
