Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking a Group Payroll Specialist to oversee the monthly payroll for around 180 UK-based employees across multiple entities, in a hybrid role from Cape Town. The role focuses on accurate processing, UK payroll compliance, reconciliations and collaboration with outsourced payroll bureaux.

Key requirements include UK payroll processing experience, strong knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance and pension auto-enrolment, outsourcing bureaux experience, multi-entity

Qualifications

• UK payroll processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance and pension auto-enrolment.
• Experience with outsourced payroll bureaux.
• Multi-entity payroll experience is advantageous.
• Good Excel and payroll systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly payroll cycle across multiple UK entities.
• Prepare and review payroll inputs and liaise with outsourced payroll bureaux.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
• Reconcile payroll costs and assist with month-end journals.
• Ensure compliance with UK PAYE, National Insurance and pension requirements.
• Support payroll controls, reporting and audits.
