Job summary

Red Ember Recruitment in Plattekloof is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our client’s team. You will manage full UK payroll processing, RTI submissions, pensions and month-end activities in a deadline-driven, confidential environment.

The role requires 3–5 years’ UK payroll experience, proficiency with SAGE50 (UK) and Morepay, and a high level of accuracy. You will liaise with internal stakeholders and ensure compliance with UK payroll legislation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or qualification in Payroll/Accounting/HR or equivalent.
• 3–5 years UK payroll processing experience.
• Experience with high-volume payrolls.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
• Proven ability to meet strict payroll deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly and bi-weekly UK payrolls accurately and within deadlines.
• Complete RTI submissions including FPS and EPS.
• Maintain pension records and payroll documentation.
• Prepare payroll reports and perform reconciliations.
• Resolve payroll queries from staff and management.
