Job summary

Kerry Kopp Consulting in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a Turner for a permanent, mid-career role. You will attend to maintenance and machining work on machinery and components from drawings.

You will operate lathes and milling machines, modify equipment to improve capacity, record all work on job cards, report issues to the Engineering Manager, and perform safety inspections under the Mechanical Foreman.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Theory training in mechanical trade, equivalent to N2.
• Qualified with Trade Test of Turner.

Responsibilities

• Machining of components from drawings and samples supplied.
• Modify and improve existing equipment and plant to optimize capacity.
• Operate lathes, milling machines, and other workshop machines.

• Report any mechanical issues to the Engineering Manager.
• Carry out safety inspections on equipment and plant.
• Undertake any reasonable requests of the Mechanical Foreman.
