Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Turbine Maintenance Technician for Mossel Bay. This hands-on role maintains power generation turbines, performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

You will read manuals, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and log work details. A trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years of turbine experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance and repair of industrial turbines (gas, steam, wind).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Commitment to safety protocols in challenging industrial settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, and diagnostic testing on power generation turbines.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with turbine systems.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide repair and maintenance activities.
