Job summary

Opensource in Gauteng is seeking an experienced Application Support professional to join our enterprise services team. You will help maintain production systems, troubleshoot incidents, and collaborate with developers, IT operations, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years in application support, strong knowledge of monitoring tools (Grafana, Loki, Splunk, ELK), and a solid grasp of APIs, integrations, and incident management processes.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of enterprise application support experience.
• Experience with Java applications, production systems, and integrations.
• Familiarity with monitoring platforms Grafana and Loki (and Splunk/ELK).
• ITIL Foundation or similar certification advantageous.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Job description

Essential Skills

• Experience in Application Support, Production Support, or Operations Support environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Loki, Splunk, ELK, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of incident management and root cause analysis processes.
• Understanding of APIs, integrations, and distributed application environments.
• Experience supporting releases and production deployments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with technical and business teams.

Qualifications

• IT Degree or Diploma / equivalent working experience.
• 5-10+ years application support experience in enterprise environments. Experience supporting Java
• applications, production systems, integration, SQL databases and monitoring platforms such as Grafana and
• Loki. Automotive, dealer management or financial services experience is advantageous.
• ITIL Foundation / other relevant certification advantageous.
