Job summary

Sabenza IT & Recruitment in Pretoria is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who loves Linux and tackling complex technical challenges to build secure, resilient, always-on infrastructure. You will contribute to designing scalable systems and ensuring uptime across distributed teams.

You’ll work with AWS and Azure, automate repetitive tasks, manage incident and change processes, and help document best practices while collaborating with engineers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT operations experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong Linux administration across Ubuntu and CentOS.
• Experience with AWS and Azure.
• Automation and scripting proficiency (Bash, Python, PowerShell, Perl).
• Exposure to security best practices and incident/change management.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain Linux servers.
• Deploy workloads in AWS and Azure.
• Automate repetitive tasks with Bash, Python or PowerShell.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and keep systems healthy.
• Apply security patches and implement best practices.
• Create documentation that is actually useful.
