Volvo Group Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd is seeking a Product Audit professional to perform audits, maintain product knowledge, and train assembly teams to uphold quality standards. The role involves collaboration with the Global Audit Team and stakeholders across the plant to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will drive audit activities, support corrective actions, and travel as needed to maintain high-quality outputs in line with Volvo’s standards.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with an NQF Level 6 qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Production Operations, or equivalent.
• 6–8 years’ experience in truck final assembly, a quality function, or a product-related environment.
• Valid Code 14 driver’s licence.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Computer literacy and knowledge of relevant local systems and programs.

Responsabilités

• Perform product audit activities and record findings in relevant global systems.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge by following Global Audit Team routines and learning from auditors.
• Train the assembly workforce on product knowledge and quality standards.
• Support Fitment Centre activities by conducting random checks and input to prevent late customer changes affecting quality.
• Participate in problem-solving processes and support corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and VPS activities across the plant, including 5S standards.
• Manage product audit communication within the team and with stakeholders.
