Job summary

Volvo Group Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd is seeking a seasoned Logistics leader to direct and optimise the materials flow, inventory accuracy and operational efficiency across the assembly supply chain.

You will build high-performing teams, enforce a zero-incident safety culture, and drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma and digital tools such as Power BI. Strong collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders is essential to achieve strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering / Logistics Management / Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma concept, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office & SAP.
• Analytical skills with experience in data visualization and reporting (Power BI, etc…).
• Familiarity with AI technologies for process optimization.
• Leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to prioritize, plan, and work in a cross functional organization.
• Strong problem-solving and change management capabilities.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and optimise the logistics function to ensure seamless material flow and operational efficiency.
• Develop high-performing teams and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration and ensure compliance and innovation across processes.
• Manage inventory control techniques and ensure accuracy across systems.
• Monitor material flow and resolve bottlenecks using logistics systems; drive Lean, Six Sigma and WCM initiatives.
• Maintain documentation and coordinate with Engineering for resource allocation.
