Job summary

Volvo Group Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd is seeking a technically skilled professional to provide sales support for Volvo Trucks products, ensuring alignment with market expectations and legal requirements. You will develop product specifications, support new projects, and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders in Southern Africa.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of technical post-qualification experience in the automotive industry.
• Exposure to heavy vehicles and their components.

Responsibilities

• Technically supporting product and sales teams to ensure local product offers align with Volvo Trucks strategies and market expectations.
• Develop specifications for new product offerings in line with legal requirements.
• Support internal VGSA organization with product, segment, unique specifications, product performance, new projects, and industry knowledge.
• Assist Sales Team with specialized configurations and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with Pro Builder regarding market requests and changes and manage local adaptations.
• Check configurations for confirmed deals before order planning and monitor the order book quality.
• Coordinate orders and changes with International Manufacturing Durban Plant & Technical Sales Support Centre.
• Input technical information on marketing material and identify new homologation requirements for orders.
• Support transport logistics and training for VGSA & Africa and communicate updates.
