Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered with SANC as Professional Nurse (R425 or equivalent) and a post-basic Trauma/CC qualification.
• Post-basic qualification in Health Service Management/Nursing Administration/Management.
• Minimum 9 years of nursing experience, at least 5 years in trauma/critical care; computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and control quality patient care in the unit.
• Develop and implement clinical protocols and policies.
• Ensure staffing according to patient needs and monitor absenteeism.
• Manage nursing duties, resources and budget for the department.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team and ensure standards.
• Implement disciplinary measures and staff development.
• Ensure adherence to National Core Standards.
