Job summary

Life Groenkloof Hospital in Gauteng is seeking a Registered Nurse Trauma Experienced to join the Trauma Unit under the Unit Manager. The role centers on delivering quality patient care in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will build professional relationships with doctors and therapists, maintain infection control standards, support ward management, and adapt to flexi-hours while ensuring excellent patient and customer care.

Qualifications

• Must have General Nursing Degree or Diploma.
• Must have experience working in a Trauma/ICU.
• Registered with SANC.
• Strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work under pressure and adapt to flexi-hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic duties as allocated by the Unit Manager.
• Ensuring that unit is run according to acceptable legal standards.
• Maintaining excellent patient and customer care in accordance with Hospital's standards.
• Maintaining sound relationships and communication with patients, relatives and the multi- disciplinary team.
• Building professional relationships with doctors and therapists to promote patient-doctor interaction.
• Maintaining all Health, Safety and Infection Control Standards.
• Assist the Unit Manager to manage the unit's budget, incl. control and maintenance of equipment, pharmacy stock, under / over recovery, stock holding, and gross profit margins and debtor's days.
• Assist with the effective management of the Ward Management System and CBT.
