Job summary

Anglo American is seeking a Training Officer Processing (12 months FTE) to coordinate and deliver training for learners in the processing area. You will conduct practical and theoretical sessions, assess competency, and maintain learner portfolios in alignment with MHSA and NQF standards.

Reporting to the Learning Delivery Supervisor Processing & SHE, you will collaborate with plant leaders and discipline managers to ensure safety and continuous development of learners in a high‑hazard mining

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mineral processing learnership experience.
• Knowledge of training needs analysis, curriculum development and instructional design.
• Familiarity with MHSA and safety standards in mining.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide training and assessments for learners.
• Deliver legal authorisation training activities and related learning interventions.
• Design, develop and maintain training matrices, materials, programs and assessments.
• Conduct practical and theoretical training sessions to develop required skills.
• Assess learners against standards and monitor progress per NQF.
• Maintain learner portfolios and training records per MQA requirements.
• Manage training documents and records for accessibility.
• Identify training needs through skills assessments and address gaps.
• Engage with plant leaders and discipline managers to understand and respond to needs.
