Job summary

Anglo American is seeking a Training Officer Processing to lead safety, health and environment training at the NC mine site. You will design, deliver, and assess both practical and theoretical training, ensuring learners meet unit standards and MHSA requirements.

Responsibilities include developing training materials, maintaining portfolios, and reporting progress to the Learning Delivery Supervisor Processing & SHE.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience with mineral processing learnerships and MHSA-related training.
• Familiarity with training needs analysis, curriculum development, and instructional design.
• Ability to assess learners against Legal Authorisation standards and NTQF requirements.
• Knowledge of safety standards and risk mitigation in mining settings.
• Experience coordinating training provider activities and documenting progress.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain training matrices, materials, programs, and assessments.
• Conduct practical and theoretical training sessions to learners.
• Assess learners for competency and track progress against unit standards.
• Maintain learners' portfolios as required by MQA and NQF.
• Prepare learners for assessments and document progress.
• Monitor and report on training progress to stakeholders and supervisors.
• Collaborate with plant leaders and discipline managers to address training needs.
