Job summary

UBS is seeking an Intern for the Operations and Trade Support team in Rosebank, Johannesburg, South Africa. You will assist the team with booking, settlement and reconciliation processes, provide client-facing reporting, and support process improvement initiatives.

The role requires Matric, strong MS Excel, and the ability to interact with middle and front offices. An interest in Digital Transformation (Alteryx, Power BI) and pursuing JSE exams is welcomed.

Qualifications

• Matric certificate.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Office with advanced MS Excel.
• Experience interacting with middle and front offices to resolve trade queries (advantage).
• Adaptable, organized and able to adjust communication style to audience.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to deliver to tight deadlines and manage several priorities.
• Willing to work towards Digital Transformation (Alteryx, Power BI)
• Willing to complete JSE Exams.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support the Operations and Trade Support team.
• Provide reporting to internal and external clients and support projects (process review/change requests).
• Identify and recommend process improvements, reduce risks, strengthen controls.
