Job summary

Standard Bank Group in Johannesburg seeks an Analyst to analyse complex Global Markets trades across multiple products and asset classes, ensuring accurate booking, allocation and settlement throughout the trade lifecycle.

You will resolve exceptions, coordinate with teams across operations, technology and finance, and identify process improvements to reduce risk and boost efficiency. A First Degree in Business Commerce or related field plus 3–5 years of Global Markets experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in Trade Support or Operations in Global Markets.
• Advanced knowledge of the Global Markets trade lifecycle across multiple products.
• Understanding of pricing, risk and impact on P&L.
• Proficient with desk systems and MS Office.

Job Description

Analyse a range of complex and/or structured Global Markets trades across multiple products and asset classes, utilising knowledge and judgement to execute standard and non-standard procedures to verify the accuracy of trade and client data and ensure the effective booking, allocation, matching and settlement of trades throughout the lifecycle of events. Resolve exceptions and queries to mitigate adverse effects and operational risks. Identify and recommend solutions for process efficiencies.
