Placements24 is seeking a Tour Guide to lead excursions across the Limpopo Province, showcasing its natural beauty, culture, and attractions. The role involves planning routes, providing engaging commentary, and ensuring guest safety and comfort on site.

You will develop itineraries, manage logistics, and interact with visitors to deliver memorable experiences. Some remote administrative tasks may be required, but the work is primarily on-location, requiring weekend and public holiday

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Tour Guide in Hospitality & Tourism.
• Extensive knowledge of Limpopo Province, its history, culture and sites.
• Excellent communication, storytelling and interpersonal abilities.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; First Aid certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead guided tours for individuals and groups with engaging commentary.
• Develop and follow structured itineraries covering key sites.
• Ensure safety and well-being of participants and follow emergency procedures.
• Manage tour logistics including transport, timing and activities.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tour Guide to lead excursions and provide exceptional experiences for visitors to the Limpopo Province . This role involves showcasing the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and unique attractions of the region, ensuring guests have an informative and enjoyable journey. You will be responsible for planning routes, providing engaging commentary, and ensuring the safety and comfort of your tour groups. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about the Hospitality & Tourism industry, with excellent communication skills and a deep love for the outdoors and South African culture. While primarily on-location, there will be some remote administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead guided tours for individuals and groups, providing insightful commentary on local history, culture, and natural environment.
• Develop and follow well-structured tour itineraries, ensuring all key sites are covered efficiently.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all tour participants, adhering to safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Manage tour logistics, including transportation, timing, and activity coordination.
• Interact positively with guests, answering questions and providing assistance to enhance their experience.
• Represent the company professionally and promote a positive image of the Limpopo Province and its attractions.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Tour Guide or in a related role within the Hospitality & Tourism sector.
• Extensive knowledge of the Limpopo Province , its history, culture, and points of interest.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.
• First Aid certification is highly desirable.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as needed.
