Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a qualified and experienced TLB Operator for on-site duties in Secunda. The role requires a Matric certificate, a valid TLB certificate, and proof of operating a TLB with at least two years of experience, ideally in mining.

You must have a national drivers license code 10 and compliance papers, including a medical certificate. The duties include planning and preparing work areas, operating front-end loader and related heavy equipment, performing pre-start

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
• Proof of operating a TLB.
• Compliance papers and medical certificate.
• At least 2 years of experience (mining industry advantageous).
• Valid TLB Certificate.
• National Drivers license Code 10.

Responsibilities

• Plan for work activities and prepare work area.
• Operate heavy-duty equipment (TLB) to excavate, load and transport ore, sand, stone, clay and overburden.
• Start and shut down backhoe/loader.
• Transport loader to and from site as required.
• Carry out pre-start checks on loader and other plant.
• Operate loader safely to suit job conditions.
• Ensure safety of team members and the public per regulations.
• Set out required work signs per Traffic Control Plan.
• Report faults or damage to the Loader or plant foreman.
• Carry out routine services and minor repairs on Loader and related equipment.
• Keep records of jobs, quantities, and timesheets.
