Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to join a proactive security team in Polokwane. You will identify, analyze, and disseminate intelligence on current and potential cyber threats, informing defensive strategies and enhancing security posture.

The role requires 1–3 years in threat intelligence, strong analytical and writing skills, and familiarity with TIPs and OSINT. A hybrid work model is offered to balance office and remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Intelligence Studies, or related field.
• 1–3 years of cyber threat intelligence, security analysis, or related cybersecurity role.
• Proficiency in analyzing malware, network traffic, and forensic data.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms (TIPs) and OSINT gathering techniques.
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret threat intelligence data from OSINT, feeds, and telemetry.
• Identify and track threat actors and their TTPs.
• Produce actionable threat intelligence reports for technical teams and senior management.
• Develop threat models relevant to the organization’s industry.
• Provide recommendations to improve defensive capabilities based on intel insights.
• Collaborate with SOC and incident response teams to integrate intel into workflows.
