Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a dedicated Certified Massage Therapist to join a well-regarded wellness center in George, Western Cape. You will provide therapeutic massage to a diverse client base in a tranquil setting, using multiple modalities to promote relaxation and overall well-being.

The role requires validation of certification, a minimum of 3 years of experience, and strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. Hybrid scheduling and employee discounts are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Valid Massage Therapist certification or license, as required by local regulations.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional massage therapy experience.
• Proficiency in multiple massage modalities and techniques.
• Excellent knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in therapeutic massage.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, and aromatherapy, tailored to client needs.
• Conduct client assessments to understand their medical history, pain points, and desired outcomes before each session.
• Maintain detailed and accurate client records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
• Uphold strict standards of hygiene and sanitation in treatment rooms and with all equipment.
• Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate home care stretches or exercises.
• Collaborate with other wellness practitioners to offer integrated care plans.
