Job summary

Joint Medical Holdings is seeking an organised stock control professional to support theatre operations in Durban. You will pack out stock for theatre cases, source new products on surgeon request, and manage theatre stockroom inventory, including month-end counts.

You will collaborate with case management to ensure medical aid approvals, oversee consignment stock at theatre level, and handle billing accuracy.

Qualifications

Must be computer literate in Word and Excel.
Basic/Post Basic Pharmacy Assistant qualification or related.
Knowledge of stock control and counting.
3-5 years hospital/pharmacy experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work under pressure and during shifts, weekends, overtime and public holidays.

Responsibilities

Pack out stock for theatre cases as per slate and surgeon preference.
Investigate and source new products as requested by surgeons and users.
Manage theatre stockroom inventory and month-end counts.
Manage consignment stock at theatre level.
Accurate billing of theatre cases to patients accounts.
Facilitate the trial of new products at theatre level.
Coordinate with case management for medical aid approvals and funder agreements.
Facilitate Doctor feedback and complaints regarding surgical items.
Enforce policy on theatre access for company Representatives.
