Job summary

Headhunters in Pretoria is seeking an External Sales Representative specializing in Textile and Interior Decor to manage and grow the Pretoria territory. You will visit customers, present products, generate leads, and develop new accounts while aiming to achieve monthly sales targets.

The role requires 3–5 years of external sales experience, a valid driver’s license with own vehicle, and Matric. Experience in textiles and interior décor is highly advantageous; strong negotiation and closing

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ proven external sales experience.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle essential.
• Matric / Grade 12 essential.
• Sales, Marketing, Textile, Interior Design or related qualification advantageous.
• Experience within textiles, fabrics, curtaining, upholstery, wallpaper or related industries is advantageous.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
• Strong new business development and prospecting skills.
• Excellent negotiation and closing ability.
• Confident with face-to-face customer engagement and presentations.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an existing customer base.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Conduct regular customer visits and presentations.
• Generate leads and develop new accounts.
• Achieve monthly sales targets.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and close sales.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Identify opportunities to grow sales within existing accounts.
• Manage the Pretoria territory and plan daily customer visits.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
• Maintain accurate sales records and submit regular reports.
