Job summary

Status Staffing in South Africa is seeking an experienced external sales professional to grow and service our existing customer base within the upholstery/foam sector. You will deliver a consultative sales service, identify opportunities, and drive revenue through relationship building.

Daily duties include contacting customers, understanding budgets, meeting monthly targets, and maintaining accurate sales records while collaborating with the Sales Manager and team to exceed expectations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ external sales and/or customer service experience within a similar industry.
• Knowledge and experience within the Upholstery/Foam industry is essential.
• Matric certificate is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow the existing customer base with consultative, responsive sales service.
• Contact active customers according to the required frequency outlined on the customer database.
• Understanding and responding to customers’ needs and requirements.
• Maintaining and growing existing sales.
• Providing excellent customer service and ensuring positive customer experiences.
• Generating referral business from existing customers.
• Increase the percentage of spend from active customers.
• Develop new business by actively sourcing and identifying prospective customers.
