Environment: Enterprise / Banking | 2-week sprint and release cycles

We are looking for a senior, hands-on Test Lead / Quality Engineer with strong Salesforce testing experience to take ownership of QA across a complex Salesforce delivery environment. The role requires someone who can operate strategically while remaining technically hands-on, helping to improve quality, strengthen regression coverage and introduce sustainable test automation.

Must-Have Requirements

• Strong hands-on Salesforce testing experience – NON-NEGOTIABLE
• Experience testing Salesforce Lightning, including dynamic components, frames and synchronisation challenges.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration and custom development.
• Experience testing Salesforce integrations and end-to-end business processes.
• Knowledge of Apex, Visualforce and Lightning Components.
• Strong test automation experience and the ability to build/maintain automation frameworks.
• Experience with Playwright, Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber, NUnit and/or Reqnroll/SpecFlow.
• Strong API and integration testing experience.
• Strong SQL/SOQL skills for backend and data validation.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of Git, branching, pull requests and code reviews.
• Experience working within complex enterprise environments with multiple third-party integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Take senior ownership of the QA strategy and testing approach across the Salesforce landscape.
• Assess the current testing process and identify opportunities to improve quality, speed and regression coverage.
• Lead test planning, preparation, execution, regression testing and final sign-off.
• Establish and drive a test automation strategy, prioritising high-value Salesforce and integration use cases.
• Build sustainable automated regression coverage across Salesforce and connected systems.
• Ensure effective end-to-end testing across Salesforce, APIs, integrations, downstream systems and data flows.
• Identify and address testing bottlenecks, particularly around execution, regression and sign-off.
• Perform root-cause analysis across application, automation, environments and test data.
• Work closely with Developers, BAs, Architects, Product Owners and other technical stakeholders.
• Mentor QA resources and contribute to the longer-term maturity and structure of the QA function.
• Own quality outcomes rather than operating purely as a test execution resource.

Technical Environment

The Salesforce platform includes both out-of-the-box configuration and custom development, with a significant focus on third-party integrations. The wider environment includes APIs, cloud services, data platforms and legacy enterprise systems.

The successful candidate will be joining an environment where testing is currently predominantly manual, with a key objective of introducing sustainable automation and improving regression coverage.

The ideal profile is therefore a senior Salesforce Test Lead / QE who combines strong Salesforce testing knowledge, hands-on automation capability, API/integration testing and the leadership skills required to mature an existing QA function.
