Job summary

MyCareerCraft is recruiting skilled Test Analysts and QA Engineers — at all levels — for IT projects across South Africa. The role covers manual and automated testing, defining test strategies, executing tests, and driving automation improvements.

Candidates should have 3+ years in testing, experience with TOSCA/Selenium/Cypress, and familiarity with Jira/Azure DevOps. SAP testing experience and ISTQB certification are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software or system testing / QA.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing.
• Hands-on with at least one test automation framework (TOSCA, Selenium, Cypress).
• Strong Agile testing practices within sprint-based delivery.
• Experience with defect and test management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).
• SAP testing experience in ECC or S/4HANA is advantageous.
• ISTQB certification (Foundation or above) is advantageous.
• Analytical thinking with attention to detail and structured problem solving.
• Effective communication – translate technical issues for non-technical audiences.
• Citizen or permanent resident with valid right to work in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Define and own test strategies, test plans, and test cases aligned to project requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end test cycles across assigned workstreams.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as TOSCA, Selenium, or Cypress.
• Set up and manage test environments, test data, and supporting test infrastructure.
• Log, prioritise, and track defects through to resolution using Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
• Coordinate and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
• Produce clear test reports and communicate quality status to project and programme teams.
• Continuously improve automation coverage, test frameworks, and testing efficiency.
• Actively contribute to Agile sprint ceremonies including backlog refinement and sprint reviews.
• Ensure testing activities address non-functional requirements including performance and security.
