Job summary

Old Mutual Group Assurance in South Africa is seeking a diligent analyst to manage new business tenders across the group risk product range. You will evaluate member and claims data, using Excel and Microsoft 365 to ensure accurate, timely delivery and support pricing decisions with pricing tools.

You will drive process improvements, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and maintain high service standards while meeting SLA targets.

Qualifications

• Matric with mathematics.
• Insurance industry experience would be advantageous.
• Experience pricing in a Group Risk environment would be advantageous.
• Business analytics/commerce/finance qualification would be advantageous.
• Proven numerical ability / mathematical reasoning.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially advanced Excel and MS 365.
• Strong digital confidence and data handling skills.
• Understanding of AI tools for research and automation.

Responsibilities

• Interpret requests and deliver daily on production standards.
• Analyse member and claims data.
• Utilise Excel and Microsoft 365 to support accurate delivery.
• Use AI tools to research, summarise information and automate tasks.
• Process new business quotations/tenders within SLA; validate inputs and pricing tools.
• Identify inefficient processes and drive improvements to implementation.
• Support team through process changes and embedding new ways of work.
• Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders; respond to queries.
• Attend to requests on time and present accurate information for decision making.
• Demonstrate customer service excellence and bias for action.
