Job summary

Express Employment Professionals Midrand is seeking a qualified Bookkeeper for a 3-month temporary assignment in Pretoria North East. You will manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain the cash book, handle debtors and creditors, and support month-end processes with accuracy.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, strong skills in Pastel Accounting, Sage One, and advanced Excel, and is fluent in Afrikaans and English. Attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with a relevant certificate/diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting or Financial Management.
• 2–5 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience with full-function cash books, debtors and creditors.
• Strong proficiency in Pastel Accounting and Sage One and advanced Excel skills.
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English for local liaison.

Responsibilities

• Process daily/weekly cash book transactions, EFTs, deposits and bank fees.
• Generate and allocate customer invoices and monitor payments; manage debtors.
• Process supplier invoices; maintain creditor age analysis and payment runs.
• Prepare month-end journals and support period-end closures and audits.
