Placements24 is seeking an experienced Telecom Infrastructure Manager to oversee the development, maintenance and operation of vital telecommunications infrastructure in the Mossel Bay region.

This leadership role requires a strategic thinker who can manage a team of engineers and technicians, ensure network uptime, and drive infrastructure projects to successful completion, with a hybrid work model accommodating both site visits and remote management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive telecom infrastructure management or network operations.
• Proven track record leading large-scale infrastructure projects and teams.
• Strong knowledge of network technologies, fiber optics, power systems, and data centers.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of telecom infrastructure including network facilities, data centers, and transmission systems.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network engineers, technicians, and support staff.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the physical and logical infrastructure that supports our services, playing a critical part in maintaining service quality and expanding our network's reach. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of the telecom infrastructure, including network facilities, data centers, and transmission systems.
