About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Telecoms Infrastructure Manager to lead their infrastructure division in Nelspruit . This leadership role involves overseeing the planning, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of the company's extensive telecommunications infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of all network assets. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, a deep technical understanding of telecom infrastructure, and the ability to manage complex projects within a hybrid work environment, balancing on-site oversight with strategic remote planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the infrastructure team, fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the strategic planning, design, and implementation of new telecom infrastructure projects.
• Ensure the operational readiness, reliability, and security of all network facilities and equipment.
• Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and procurement.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for infrastructure operations and team performance.
• Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in telecommunications infrastructure management.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects and teams.
• Deep understanding of network technologies, including fiber optics, wireless, data centers, and cloud integration.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and vendor negotiation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills, with experience in a hybrid management setting in Nelspruit .
