Job summary

Linkfields Innovations (Pty) Ltd is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to support a multi-phase Telco transformation programme. You will go beyond requirements capture, challenging and simplifying legacy processes while guiding stakeholders toward a rationalized target state for the new platform.

The role involves eliciting requirements across mobile and fixed line services, analyzing end-to-end business processes, and collaborating with architects and vendors to ensure a clean integration

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in a business analysis role, with at least 3 years in telecommunications.
• Working knowledge of BSS process across mobile(prepaid, postpaid) and fixed line services
• Sufficient IT background to hold credible discussion with architects and developers on system behaviour, data and integration
• Demonstrable experience optimising or rationalising business process, not only documenting it
• Prior experience on a large scale migration or system replacement programme
• Relevant degree or diploma. Formal business analysis certification such as CBAP or IIBA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document business requirements across mobile (prepaid, postpaid and SMB) and fixed line network
• Conduct end to end business process analysis across the customer lifecycle, from acquisition through order, provisioning, charging, billing, care and collections
• Identify process duplication and complexity carried by the legacy Amdocs estate, and propose a simplified target state
• Facilitate requirements workshops with operator business units and the prime vendor's requirements team
• Produce business requirement specifications, process models and traceability matrices to a standard suitable for solution design and test case derivation
• Support integration requirements discovery in partnership with the solution architecture team
• Guide and coach business stakeholders on platform capability and the implications of process change
• Contribute to UAT scope definition, scenario design and defect triage from a business perspective
• Maintain requirements documentation through change, including impact assessment on downstream design and test
