Job summary

Linkfields Innovations is recruiting End to End Test Specialists to support a multi-phase Telco transformation programme in Gauteng onsite.

Responsibilities include designing and executing end-to-end test scenarios across the customer lifecycle, building test data, and validating data integrity between legacy Amdocs and the new platform.

You will also prepare and support UAT with the operator’s business users, track defects to closure and report progress to programme leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in software testing with at least 3 years testing telecom systems.
• Lead level candidates: 8+ years, incl. 3 years in a test lead or QA manager role.
• Working knowledge of telecom BSS across prepaid, postpaid, mobile and fixed line services.
• End-to-end journey testing experience, not just component tests.
• UAT facilitation experience with business users, not only scripts.
• Experience testing Amdocs estate or comparable billing platforms.
• ISTQB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute end-to-end test scenarios across the customer lifecycle, spanning order, provisioning, charging, billing, care and collections.
• Build test plans, test cases and test data for Mobile (prepaid, postpaid and SMB) and fixed network.
• Execute system integration, end-to-end, regression testing and cutover validation.
• Prepare and support UAT with operator business users, including walkthroughs and hands-on execution.
• Manage test data preparation, including data conditioning and validation across migrating systems.
• Log, triage and track defects to closure; drive root cause analysis on critical defects.
• Work with solution architects and developers to understand integration points and design tests.
• Validate data integrity and system behaviour across legacy Amdocs estate and incoming platform.
• Report test progress, coverage and quality metrics to programme leadership.
• Support post cutover validation and early life defect resolution.

These are local positions. The programme requires testers who can validate a customer journey across the full system chain rather than test components in isolation, and who can carry the operator's business users through UAT where internal test capacity is constrained.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Design and execute end to end test scenarios across the customer lifecycle, spanning order, provisioning, charging, billing, care and collections


• Build test plans, test cases and test data requirements for Mobile (prepaid, postpaid and SMB) andfixed network


• Execute system integration testing, end to end testing, regression testing and cutover validation


• Prepare and support UAT with the operator's business users, including scenario walkthrough and hands on assistance during execution


• Manage test data preparation, including data conditioning and validation across migrating systems


• Log, triage and track defects to closure, and drive root cause analysis on critical defects


• Work with solution architects and developers to understand integration points and design tests that exercise them properly


• Validate data integrity and system behaviour across the legacy Amdocs estate and the incoming platform

Desired Experience & Qualification

• BSS domain: Working knowledge of telecommunications BSS across prepaid, postpaid, mobile and fixed line services


• End to end testing: Demonstrable experience designing and executing full journey test scenarios, not component testing only


• UAT facilitation: Experience running UAT with business users rather than only executing test scripts


• Amdocs: Experience testing the Amdocs estate or a comparable telecommunications billing platform


• Migration programmes: Prior testing experience on a system migration or replacement programme


• Qualification: Relevant degree or diploma. ISTQB certification is preferred.
